Known for her honest communication and practical guidance, Teri works directly with attorneys and individuals to deliver clear, defensible vocational opinions grounded in real-world employability analysis.
Emerge Vocational Solutions was founded after a major turning point in Teri’s career.
After working in vocational services since 2016, Teri unexpectedly found herself needing to pivot quickly when the company she worked for scaled back its services. Instead of stepping away from the field, she chose to build something of her own. She wanted a practice centered around honesty, accessibility, and direct client relationships.
What started as a difficult transition became an opportunity to create the kind of vocational practice she believed clients and attorneys actually needed: responsive, approachable, and grounded in real expertise.
Today, Emerge Vocational Solutions provides vocational evaluations, employability opinions, labor market surveys, and expert testimony services for attorneys, veterans, injured workers, and disability-related cases throughout Central Florida and nationwide.
For Teri, this work is personal.
Her passion for helping veterans was shaped in part by watching her own brother serve during the war in Afghanistan and later return home with service-connected disabilities. That experience gave her a deeper understanding of how difficult it can be for veterans to navigate benefits systems and advocate for the support they deserve.
That same mindset continues to shape how she approaches every case: with empathy, honesty, and a commitment to telling the truth, even when it’s not the easiest answer.
Teri Hillery brings years of experience performing vocational evaluations and employability assessments across multiple legal and disability-related settings. Her work supports attorneys, veterans, insurers, and individuals who need clear vocational analysis backed by practical experience and defensible reporting.
Services may include vocational expert testimony, labor market surveys, wage earning capacity evaluations, return-to-work assessments, and disability-related employability opinions.
A vocational expert evaluates how injuries, disabilities, medical conditions, education, work history, and labor market factors affect a person’s ability to work.
Vocational experts are often involved in legal and disability-related cases where employability, earning capacity, or return-to-work potential must be clearly documented and explained.
At Emerge Vocational Solutions, evaluations may include reviewing medical records, analyzing work history, identifying transferable skills, researching labor market conditions, and providing professional opinions that help attorneys, judges, and agencies better understand a person’s vocational limitations and opportunities.
Depending on the case, this work may also involve written reports, employability opinions, labor market research, or expert testimony for hearings, depositions, and court proceedings.
